Web design in Winchester
Winchester is a short run down the road from me, which means a first meeting in person is no trouble at all if you would rather do it that way.
It is also a city where people judge a business on how it presents itself, often before they have spoken to anybody. A website that looks careful is doing the same job as a well kept shopfront on the High Street.
About half an hour from Basingstoke.
Designed, not assembled
Built around your business rather than a layout I have used before.
A fixed price in writing
Agreed before any work starts. No hourly rates, no surprise invoices.
Yours at the end
The domain is in your name and the site belongs to you.
Where I work
Winchester and the places around it
- Winchester
- Kings Worthy
- Littleton
- Sparsholt
- Twyford
- Colden Common
- Alresford
- Sutton Scotney
If you are just outside that list, ask anyway. Nearly all of the work happens over calls, messages and a private preview link, so the distance rarely matters as much as people expect.
A city where presentation is the product
Winchester has a high concentration of businesses selling considered, expensive things: interiors, weddings, professional services, independent shops with real identities. Those buyers take their time and compare. A website that looks like a template tells them the business is ordinary before a word has been read.
There is a visitor economy here too, which means a good chunk of the people looking you up are not local and have no recommendation to go on. They have only got the site. Everything they need, the address, what it costs to come to you, how to book, has to be findable without hunting for it.
Who I build for in Winchester
Every one of these gets a different site. A barber and a builder want opposite things from a first screen.
- Independent shops
- Interiors and makers
- Wedding and event suppliers
- Professional services
- Salons and clinics
- Trades and builders
Questions from Winchester
Yes, and the type of site is usually different from a trade site. A shop or a studio needs a site that makes people want to come in, so it leans harder on photography and on telling them exactly where to find you and when you are open.
It depends what is wrong with it. If it is slow, hard to read on a phone, or you cannot update it yourself, those are all worth fixing. Send me the address and I will tell you honestly whether it needs rebuilding or just tidying up.
