Web design in Newbury

Newbury is the other side of the county line from me and an easy drive, so West Berkshire work is as straightforward for me as anything in Hampshire.

It is a town with a wide spread of businesses, from one person trades to companies with proper marketing departments, and the gap between how those two ends present themselves online is enormous.

Half an hour up the A339.

  • Designed, not assembled

Built around your business rather than a layout I have used before.

  • A fixed price in writing

Agreed before any work starts. No hourly rates, no surprise invoices.

  • Yours at the end

The domain is in your name and the site belongs to you.

Where I work

Newbury and the places around it

  • Newbury
  • Thatcham
  • Hungerford
  • Kingsclere
  • Hermitage
  • Burghfield
  • Greenham
  • Chieveley

If you are just outside that list, ask anyway. Nearly all of the work happens over calls, messages and a private preview link, so the distance rarely matters as much as people expect.

Competing with businesses that have budgets

There is more corporate money in and around Newbury than in most Hampshire towns, and it shows in the websites. If you are a smaller business here, some of the companies you are compared against have had a proper agency build their site.

That sounds discouraging and it is not. A one person business can look every bit as credible as a large one, because it is not about spend, it is about whether the site was designed for that business or bought off a shelf. The things that give a cheap site away, the stock photograph of a handshake, the same three boxes every competitor has, cost nothing to avoid.

Who I build for in Newbury

Every one of these gets a different site. A barber and a builder want opposite things from a first screen.

  • Trades and builders
  • Groundworks and landscaping
  • Sign makers and workshops
  • Cleaning and facilities
  • Shops and studios
  • Services working across Berkshire

Questions from Newbury

No. The price depends on the site, not the postcode. Nearly all of the work happens over calls, messages and a private preview link anyway.

A single page is usually around a fortnight and a larger site three to four weeks. The thing that moves that timeline is almost always how quickly photos and text come back to me, so the more you have ready, the faster it goes.

Not in Newbury?

I work across Hampshire, Berkshire and the Surrey border. These are the nearest ones to you.
