Web design in Reading

Reading is the biggest town I work in and the busiest market, which cuts both ways: there is more work about, and more people chasing it.

It is also where the difference between a site that was designed and a site that was assembled shows up most, because your customer has plenty of other tabs open.

Half an hour up the A33.

  • Designed, not assembled

Built around your business rather than a layout I have used before.

  • A fixed price in writing

Agreed before any work starts. No hourly rates, no surprise invoices.

  • Yours at the end

The domain is in your name and the site belongs to you.

Where I work

Reading and the places around it

  • Reading
  • Caversham
  • Tilehurst
  • Earley
  • Woodley
  • Burghfield
  • Shinfield
  • Theale

If you are just outside that list, ask anyway. Nearly all of the work happens over calls, messages and a private preview link, so the distance rarely matters as much as people expect.

A crowded market rewards being specific

In a town this size, trying to appeal to everybody is how a business disappears. The sites that do well here are narrow and clear: this is exactly what I do, this is the bit of Reading I cover, this is what happens when you get in touch.

Loading speed matters more here too. A big chunk of the people finding you are on a phone, on the move, with one bar of signal. A heavy site built on a page builder loses them before it has finished arriving.

Who I build for in Reading

Every one of these gets a different site. A barber and a builder want opposite things from a first screen.

  • Trades and builders
  • Groundworks and roofing
  • Cleaning and maintenance
  • Salons, barbers and clinics
  • Motor trade
  • Independent shops

Questions from Reading

Because you deal with me from the first call to launch day, and because I design around what your business actually does rather than fitting it into a layout I have already used. If that is not what you want, a cheaper template will do the job and I will say so.

Not usually. Everything runs over calls, messages and a private preview link, so most Reading projects happen without a visit. If you would rather meet first, that is easy enough to arrange.

I work across Hampshire, Berkshire and the Surrey border. These are the nearest ones to you.
